Téry Hut is one of the oldest and highest cabins in Slovak´s Tatra mountains. It was built in 1899 and is located 2015 metres above sea level. It is open all year round and provides a great experience if you would like to do a overnight stay in local mountains. It is supplied by traditional system of porters who carry whatever is needed up here on their back almost every day. During my stay I was lucky enough to get a night with clear sky and also milky way aligned perfectly behind the hut itself thus this shot came to life. One of my favorite photos of 2021.
About Peter Kolejak
Born and raised under the mountains in northern Slovakia in the heart of Europe. I only discovered photography in late 2017, but it was in New Zealand in 2018 where I fell in love with it completely and it became my passion. After one year in New Zealand I moved to Canada where I spent 2 years in close vicinity of magnificent Rockies. Currently back home in Europe planning to extend my portfolio by beauties of local nature...
