Description
Keas are world´s only mountain parrots and can be only found on South Island of New Zealand. These birds can live up to 50 years and they are pretty damn smart. I have heard many stories about them tricking tourists and then stealing from them or getting into their cars or backpacks just to get something for food for them. This particular one I met during my visit of Arthur´s Pass National Park was trying to get some food from me and was following me for few minutes as I walked around Otira Viaduct lookout area. When I decided to take a picture of viaduct itself ignoring him steadily he decided to jump right into my frame on front of me and started begging same way like dogs like to do with their paws...I was impressed. After few tries with no result he lost his patience with me and flew away to try this trick on somebody else...
