Artist's Description

I was not aware of the fact that there are wallabies in New Zealand before I visited the country at all. Although they are not native to New Zealand and were brought here from Australia you can nowadays found them on several areas of South Island roaming freely. Excessive amount of food and no predators caused their numbers to thrive since they were introduced, but also made it much harder for other local species to survive around them so unfortunately for wallabies they are now considered pest here.

About Peter Kolejak

Peter Kolejak

Born and raised under the mountains in northern Slovakia in the heart of Europe. I only discovered photography in late 2017, but it was in New Zealand in 2018 where I fell in love with it completely and it became my passion. After one year in New Zealand I moved to Canada where I spent 2 years in close vicinity of magnificent Rockies. Currently back home in Europe planning to extend my portfolio by beauties of local nature...
