Artist's Description
It was nice late spring afternoon and I was just finishing my 3rd day on one of New Zealand´s most famous hikes, Kepler Track, which leads 60 km through forests and mountains of Fiordland National Park. Last sleeping stop was Moturau Hut located on the bank of lake Manapouri. As I was sitting on its bank relaxing after long day and awaiting sunset, these impressive clouds formed above the lake and were shortly followed by heavy rain and short, but intense storm. I found my shelter in the hut just in time and managed to take this foto before the storm showed its best.
About Peter Kolejak
Born and raised under the mountains in northern Slovakia in the heart of Europe. I only discovered photography in late 2017, but it was in New Zealand in 2018 where I fell in love with it completely and it became my passion. After one year in New Zealand I moved to Canada where I spent 2 years in close vicinity of magnificent Rockies. Currently back home in Europe planning to extend my portfolio by beauties of local nature...
