Routeburn Track is one of 10 New Zealand´s Great Walks, multiday hikes which are considered to be the top hiking experience showing wast diversity and highlights of local nature. With its 32km Routeburn is shortest of them all, nevertheless that does not mean it has less to offer. In fact opposite is true. Beautiful lakes, waterfalls, ridge line, mountain saddle, several side trips available, great panoramic looks you name it, Routeburn has it all. Picture taken shortly after I reached highest point of the track and just before I start my descent to valley itself.
About Peter Kolejak
Born and raised under the mountains in northern Slovakia in the heart of Europe. I only discovered photography in late 2017, but it was in New Zealand in 2018 where I fell in love with it completely and it became my passion. After one year in New Zealand I moved to Canada where I spent 2 years in close vicinity of magnificent Rockies. Currently back home in Europe planning to extend my portfolio by beauties of local nature...
