Artist's Description
Most people know that there is North and South Island in New Zealand. But have you heard about third biggest of New Zealand islands - Rakiura also known as Stewart Island already? This island is mostly covered by lush forest and only permanent population comprises of few hundred people located in town of Oban, only human on the island. If you want to experience proper jungle or watch some of the rare native birds including famous Kiwi, Stewart Island is a place to go. Photo was taken while hiking Rakiura track, Great Walk located on the island.
About Peter Kolejak
Born and raised under the mountains in northern Slovakia in the heart of Europe. I only discovered photography in late 2017, but it was in New Zealand in 2018 where I fell in love with it completely and it became my passion. After one year in New Zealand I moved to Canada where I spent 2 years in close vicinity of magnificent Rockies.
