Roys Peak is the most popular day hike in Wanaka area and one of the most popular hikes in whole New Zealand. With that being said, you need to be prepared for crowds if you decided to give it go...or...you can hike it up for sunrise to avoid them. I decided to go with second option. Started at 3 am on the foot of the mountain, enjoying beautiful clear sky full of stars, only to witness this beautiful sunrise 3 hours and 8km later with just few other people who had the same idea that day. Definitely worth it.

Born and raised under the mountains in northern Slovakia in the heart of Europe. I only discovered photography in late 2017, but it was in New Zealand in 2018 where I fell in love with it completely and it became my passion.
